YOU'LL RESTART IF YOU DIE!! You play as Dave, a normal person who realized that he was trapped inside of a simulation by the Controllers. The Controllers decided that if Dave can beat the Purple Abyss simulation he will be free. If he doesn't he will be forced to live in simulations the rest of his life. The Controllers don't want Dave earning his freedom, so they made and put minions into the simulation to try and prevent Dave from escaping.
