Join the PlasmaCorps!
Fight enemies and try to not let your plasma level go down to 0 before theirs does.
Each spawn point has a certain level of plasma, and respawning costs 100 plasma, while shooting weapons costs 1, 2, 5, 16, 18, or 20 plasma (depending on the gun).
You can pick up new guns (at the expense of your old gun), and you can pick up health (but the health pickups take some time to charge, so if you get them too early, you don't get as much bonus health as if you wait until they fill up fully).

This game was made in 2 weeks for the Summer 2024 flowjam, with the theme, "Everything Has A Price".

It was definitely inspired by old Flash games like Armor Mayhem, Plazma Burst 2, Primary, etc.

It was also very rushed, and basically all the game mechanics are faked or shortcut in some way (please don't use this as example code to build off of; it's a mess).

There are a few things I would like to change:
The characters' limb angle limits use incorrect math, so I'll figure that out after the flowjam ends.
Ideally, the characters' fill color level would be masked out to go down like a health bar (I just don't believe that's possible in flowlab when the sprites overlap).
The damage dealt by the grenade launcher explosion is pretty inconsistent, due to the fact that each projectile launched in the explosion can only damage 1 character per frame, and if it overlaps with multiple or already collided with an entity on the last frame then it deals no further damage.
There also is a bug that causes the plasma/blood particles to flash briefly in places they have already disappeared.
Hopefully these both can be fixed in a future Flowlab update.
